Etymology[edit]

From Middle Persian 𐭫𐭥𐭩𐭱𐭤 (LOYŠE /⁠sar⁠/). The same Iranian word is found in wholly-borrowed կախարդասար (kaxardasar) and in Մանկասար (Mankasar).
