Proto-Mon-Khmer[edit]

Etymology[edit]

  • Proto-Mon-Khmer: *khəjʔ (Shorto, 2006, #1542)

In spite of the fact that Shorto (2006) reconstructed this root with *-h-, it is possible that Katuic *-s- and Aslian *-c- are conservative, and other branches underwent debuccalization.

Noun[edit]

*khəjʔ

  1. moon, month
