Depends on the form. Matasović says that Old Irish biid and Gaulish biiete point to *bīye- < *bʰwiye-, but in the preterite Old Irish boí and Welsh bu point to *bowe-. And nonfinite forms like Old Irish ·both and Welsh bod do seem to come from *buto-. —Mahāgaja (formerly Angr) · talk 20:56, 12 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
