Kroonen reconstructs this as such based on Middle High German zinnen. On the other hand, Koebler lists the form zinden alongside zinnen, which points to *tinþaną. Anglom (talk) 00:09, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

MHG zinden can also come from OHG *zintan which would go back to *tindaną or *tendaną. Leasnam (talk) 23:47, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
