It could be a cognate, I'm not sure. å comes from Old Norse á, and in this case it would need to come from -aha-, I think -ahi- would have become æ (Swedish ä) instead. On the other hand, maybe a variant form *þwahalō existed as well. —CodeCat 19:46, 23 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
