I wondered that myself. This is why I added the Alternative form. But most places I looked reconstruct it with iu, and one of the OE forms has ȳ (from earlier īe, which makes sense to me). Taken together, I figured it must be accurate... ? Leasnam (talk) 14:33, 7 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
