Pronounciation[edit]
How is this pronounced? Is it the same as Allah? I'm brushing up on my (very) mediocre Russian reading skills here, and the yo character is giving me trouble. BigNate37 19:33, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
- It is pronounced very much like ul-loh. There is also a more informal version of this word, алё, the pronunciation of which I would not dare to convey by any imaginable set of English letters. It's a pity I don't have a mike. :) Dart evader 20:16, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
