(Notifying Atitarev, Benwing2, Cinemantique, KoreanQuoter, Useigor, Wanjuscha, Wikitiki89, Stephen G. Brown, Per utramque cavernam): I do not agree with the usage notes. In actual colloquial speech, о (o) in the second sense, governing the accusative, is ungrammatical: nobody will ever say «удариться о камень», or «о стол», or «о стену», unless one is reciting something or deliberately making oneself sound so.

I suggest to add a label literary to the second sense of о (o), and a usage note indicating that in colloquial speech, об is used instead. Guldrelokk (talk) 10:29, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
