@Atitarev, Cinemantique, Wikitiki89 Should these "predicatives" have their own entries? Here it's not clear there should be a predicative separate from a short neuter singular adjective form. In some cases it's trickier, e.g. under мал, the predicative is defined as "(you are) too small, (you are) too little (for this)", and under завидно there's the definition "feeling envious", and it's used impersonally, ему завидно. In all three of тихо, мал and завидно, there's also an entry for the short adjective form. How common is it for short adjectives to be used predicatively and/or impersonally? Should this simply be a usage note instead of a separate entry? BTW check Category:Russian predicatives for the full list. Benwing2 (talk) 08:35, 29 December 2015 (UTC)

This particular word can do without the predicative section. It's an adverb here but see examples at интересно, which has all three and жарко needs one too. What about открыто, where under "Predicative" there are two defns: "short form of откры́тый (otkrýtyj)" and "(is) open"? Should the predicative remain here or be deleted? Benwing2 (talk) 09:28, 29 December 2015 (UTC)

The first is done correctly, the 2nd need to be split into predicative and adjective (form) sections. The 3rd is probably not a predicative, I'll check later. The adjective sections don't need translations, just links to lemmas. It's a hassle to create new entries and PoS sections and admittedly, the knowledge of the Russian may help to figure out, which one is which. Predicatives are not from short adjectives but from adverbs or instead of adverbs and their stresses match adverbs, not adjectives, AFAIK, if they are different. --Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 21:51, 29 December 2015 (UTC)

You're right, that they are actually the adverbs. But most adverbs are the same as the neuter short forms. Anyway what I meant then was that if we should not have separate predicative sections when there is already an adverb section. --WikiTiki89 21:59, 29 December 2015 (UTC)

It all depends how much detail you want to give to an entry. If entry интересно didn't have the predicative section, it would be incomplete, IMO. 1. Это кино интересно - This movie is interesting (adj form), 2. Она интересно рассказывает - She tells (stories) interestingly (adverb), 3. Интересно, когда он придёт? - I wonder when he comes. or Мне очень интересно - I'm very interested. (predicative).
