Adding the audio files[edit]

Hi,

I have problems adding the audio file. Trying to use the same file (Misr- Egypt in Arabic.ogg) as in Egypt in Wikipedia. --Anatoli 22:54, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I believe that w:File:Misr- Egypt in Arabic.ogg is located in Wikipedia, which will not work here. In order for an image or audio file to be available universally, it must be located in the Wikimedia Commons. I changed the name to a file that is in the Commons. —Stephen 01:29, 17 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, Stephen! I had trouble identifying the availability of the file. --Anatoli 02:18, 17 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

For Dick Laurent on fixing Arabic entries that list verbs[edit]

# to become a populated area, to become a big city, to become a metropolis
# to Egyptianize, to become an Egyptian

Loxi, Rick hasn't worked on Arabic entries, like for years. The entry belongs at تمصر- it's already there. User:Benwing2 might help. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 11:11, 15 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

مصراوي[edit]

مصراوي (Maraswy) may also be a descendent of مصر (Egypt)

In Egyptian, yes. اوي, جي, and انجي are ubiquitous derivational and relational suffixes that often denote demonyms and patronyms (as in مَحَلَّاوِي, فَرَنْسَاوِي, and so on). Roger.M.Williams (talk) 23:59, 3 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
