@AryamanA, माधवपंडित, Kutchkutch Attention needed here: is the current title (तक़रार) over-nuqtā-ised? The Arabic source word is تَكْرَار (takrār, repetition, reiteration, frequency). Wyang (talk) 10:37, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Wyang: You're right, this is a case of hyperforeignism in Hindi. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 15:46, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
@AryamanA: But what is the official Hindi word? If it really is pronounced तक़रार (taqrār), it should be the official lemma with it being made clear that this is hyperforeignism. -- माधवपंडित (talk) 16:04, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
@माधवपंडित: My sociolect doesn't distinguish /k/ and /q/, so I wouldn't know. The "official" spellings are supposed to be regulated by the Central Hindi Directorate but no one listens to them 🤷 —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 20:02, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
