The Etymology section is pretty unhelpful; most users are likely to want something more immediate than a distant Proto-Indo-European root (with no indication as to its meaning). The supposed cognates are unhelpful, too. What's needed is something that explains that it comes from ἀρι- (an intensifier) plus θμός (and that's why I came here, because I didn't know what that is). --84.51.139.215 08:36, 15 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
