@Atitarev: Why not? Because there's a glottal stop before the l? I don't see why that would be a problem. I still don't think it's wise to add pronunciations unless you're really sure. The user who made the entry at Wu Wikipedia (上海道台) even says on their own talk page that "对吴语掌握弗是老深刻" (their grasp of Wu isn't very deep). — justin(r)leung _{{ (t...) | c=› }} 22:36, 3 January 2020 (UTC)

@Justinrleung: No, because "la'" would be perceived more phonetic than "'la". Are you suggesting to completely remove Wu translation? I sometimes contacted Wu editors on pronunciations but they are not very responsive. --Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 22:46, 3 January 2020 (UTC)

@Atitarev: I would leave out the Wu pronunciation for now. Sometimes it's not about being more phonetically similar than what people actually (would) say. 安拉 itself isn't necessarily phonetically similar because of the -n in 安, but that's what it is. With words like these, there may even be irregularities (like "la" instead of "laq" or "'laq").
