@Wyang Where did you find 萉,菔,蔔,蘆? Dokurrat (talk) 13:57, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

萉,菔,蔔 - “Zürcher Markt”: Wurzelgemüse und Gemüsewurzeln by Sinologist Wolfgang Behr. 蘆 - 說文:蘆,蘆菔也。 These are all the same word. Wyang (talk) 06:28, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Wyang: As for 蘆: First, 连绵词 in Shuowen and many other historical dictionaries are expressed in such expressions; 蘆,蘆菔也 does not necessarily imply 蘆 can be used alone. Second, I didn't find attestations for this characters used alone.
  • As for 萉,菔,蔔: I think the original blogpost is listing "der zweiten Silbe" and I don't see how that implies they could be used alone. And I didn't find attestations for these characters used alone. Your opinion? Dokurrat (talk) 07:20, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Whatever. Just delete them if you want to. I can't be bothered. Wyang (talk) 07:28, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Dokurrat Please let me retract that. I wasn't in the right state of mind and that was unwarranted. I think you are right. I was mistaken by the previous structure on zh.wikt. Sorry! Wyang (talk) 11:58, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Wyang: No worries! Dokurrat (talk) 12:15, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

夾蘿蔔干[edit]

I believe this is a colloquialism for being a third wheel in a dating situation. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 01:40, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rfv-sense: "turnip". This seems to be an incorrect translation intending to refer to the radish. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 19:17, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
