@Eirikr The etymology currently says that 衝い is the 連用形; it seems to me that more properly, it should say that 衝き is the 連用形 and underwent 音便. Is that right? —Suzukaze-c (talk) 02:16, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
- @Suzukaze-c: Agreed, that's 音便, not just the 連用形. I suspect that the phonological / historical context of the process was paralleling the 音便 we see in つきて → ついて / つきた → ついた. I'll tweak it momentarily. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 17:26, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
