口 as 一颗人头[edit]

I read an explanation of this character in which the 口 was interpreted as 一颗人头- that us to say, after 大辟 (beadheading) had been carried out, the head was on the ground, below the body (尸). This may reflect a popular understanding of the character; not sure. Also, 汉字源流字典 says this character's composition refers to 凌迟 torture. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 04:47, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
