How much sense does this make? "Endowed with the quality of the stem"? Essentially, most of these words just pertain to zin in its normal meanings: diepzinnig = with a deep signification; eigenzinnig = relying on one's own mind; scherpzinnig = having sharp senses; krankzinnig = having lost one's senses. Moreover, at least eigenzinnig is borrowed from German. (And without knowing it, I guess that diepzinnig and scherpzinnig might be borrowed as well.)Kolmiel (talk) 02:15, 7 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
