- @Ysrael214: I know MU comes from "mutual understanding", but in my entire life, I've never heard "mutual understanding" used. And I feel like if you tell someone, both of them have a "mutual understanding", they would have no idea what you're talking about. And I don't think you can find attestation for this except for someone trying to explain MU and "mutual understanding" together, the latter of which I don't think anyone says at all. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 06:13, 13 January 2023 (UTC)

- Mutual understanding has 6 syllables while MU has 2, so probably why it's rare in colloquial speech. I swear I heard mutual understanding a few times in real life but I agree MU is more common. Ysrael214 (talk) 09:10, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
