Pronunciation

As a non-native English speaker, I find this name's pronunciation quite surprising. Why on Earth is it pronounced /ˈmʌɹi/ and not /ˈmʌɹeɪ/ or /məˈɹeɪ/, as its spelling would invite to? Anyone knows? — Actarus ^{(Prince d'Euphor)} 16:05, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
