"Webelo" is not correct[edit]

"Webelo" is not correct. This is an acronym, and the S in Webelos means Scouts. In addition to BSA's own guidance, an internet search that includes both webelo and webelos will make this clear.

Here's content originally on the page that attempted to support the incorrect use: [removed]

As the content shows, "Webelo" is in use, whatever some people might say. We document real-world use. Content restored to page. Equinox 21:39, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I reverted. I am fine if you want to add back the incorrect form, but you clobbered my valid and referenced changes. The word is not a noun. Novasource (talk) 21:46, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It clearly is a noun. It's possible it might also be an adjective, but we'd need citations meeting tests of adjectivity, since it could easily be an attributive noun (like "dog" in "the puppies slept in a dog house outside" is an attributive noun). But the copious citations currently provided clearly show use as a noun, you can say "A Webelos entering a Scout troop can..." where it wouldn't work to say *"A clearheaded#Adjective entering a discussion can...", and likewise for the very amply-attested singular. - -sche (discuss) 23:23, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
