Anagrams

@DCDuring, Equinox, Justinrleung, 70.172.194.25 There is an anagram relationship between Yangzi and Ziyang; between Gannan and Nangan. However, that relationship seems more special than a normal anagram relationship. Bianjing and Jingbian will have this relationship. 液體／液体 (yètǐ) & 體液／体液 (tǐyè) have a similar type of anagram relationship. Are there "levels/degrees of anagrams" or special classifications of anagrams in English language theory? Would this be worthy of tea room or beer parlor review? @Geographyinitiative: While these are interesting, I'm not sure if there's a particular name for them. Anagrams are purely based on the orthography, so there's no care for larger units other than the character level. — justin(r)leung _{{ (t...) | c=› }} 20:19, 1 June 2022 (UTC)

@Geographyinitiative: If you're talking about anagrams where only a lexical "chunk" has moved, we could say the same about (say) manrope and ropeman. There may be something interesting to say about this, but it's not at the anagram level, where we only care about individual letters, and not lexical chunks. Equinox ◑ 01:10, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
