Talk:bigorexia

As far as i am aware i coined this expression in my GP surgery one morning around 15yrs+ ago when i saw a patient with big muscular build who felt that he was quite small. i could only think that he was the opposite to someone with anorexia so actually told him he had 'Bigorexia'. i made the word up in the spare of the moment. I surprised a number of years later to hear the word used on a TV programme by a body building coach. I have just recently read it in a medical Journal. @Johnpug007 If you do a Google Books search, you'll see viewable hits from at least 2000. The New Oxford American Dictionary app on my computer says it originated in the 1980s. We get people posting claims on talk pages from time to time that they invented various terms, and so far they've all been easily proved wrong. Chuck Entz (talk) 06:35, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
