Ruakh commented a couple of years ago that the quotations didn't support the usage notes; frankly, they don't seem to support the definition, either. I don't doubt that quotations exist which support the definition, but the quotations in the entry seem to mean just "bride". - -sche (discuss) 05:31, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps we should move the virgin bit to the etymology (to explain the origin) and just define it as "bride". Equinox ◑ 07:44, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
