Czech translation[edit]

I am at loss how to translate capricious into Czech. What comes to mind is rozmarný, náladový and nevypočitatelný; German translations lauenhaft and unberechenbar are in line with that. Still, I feel the expression rozmarná zimní bouře based on the English capricious winterstorm as strange at least; rozmarný seems to imply playful in a harmless way to me. All the three Czech expressions are applied to people, not to natural phenomena AFAIK. Any opinion on this is appreciated. --Daniel Polansky 14:09, 14 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Another translation that comes to mind is nevyzpytatelný. I still doubt I would use the expression nevyzpytatelná zimní bouře. --Daniel Polansky 16:08, 17 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Another one is vrtkavý, as in vrtkavý osud meaning capricious fate. --Daniel Polansky 15:48, 19 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Another one is vrtošivý. --Daniel Polansky
