¿Cascabel = rattle?
[edit]In the Spanish entry of cascabel are two definitions at the moment. The first one says: "rattle (baby's toy)." That is a totally unknown meaning of the word to me. The only words I know in Spanish with that meaning are sonajero and sonaja. Unless that definition shows the use of the word in a very specific language area, it is probably a misunderstanding coming from the phrase serpiente de cascabel (literally: "snake of jingle bell") meaning "rattle snake"; that is the only case I know where "cascabel" and "rattle" coincide, but they never do by their own. This DRAE link with only two definitions and none meaning "rattle" seems to support my deduction. Regards. --81.38.36.121 23:39, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
