Every source I checked had kahve or kahveh for the Turkish spelling. I never saw the spelling qahveh as a representation of the Turkish, only of the Arabic. The Turkish Wikipedia page http://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kahve does not contain a single letter q! Could this be a romanization of the Ottoman Turkish words as it written in the Arabic script? — Hippietrail 09:31, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

coffee-and ...[edit]
Apparently (and perhaps barely attestable from a Google Books search):
- a "coffee-and habit" is a minor drug habit, less than full addiction.
- a "coffee-and pimp" is one who makes very little money.
Don't know if this might be related to coffee and cakes.
