Marble?[edit]
It's a very long time ago but I've got half an idea that this was a kind of marble (the ones you would play with as children). Perhaps the same as a pirate (see my comments at Talk:pirate), perhaps not, or did I imagine the whole thing? - A while ago I did do a bunch of marble words. They seem to be very regionalised and perhaps localised in time (like a lot of children's games) as nobody writes this stuff down unless there is an adult hanging around creepily "studying". But okay, perhaps I did dream this one. I do hope we can extend pirate to explain what kind of marble it is though. Pretty sure they were the streaky black ones.
