At deficit someone has noted that déficit "in French also has a broader meaning". Can someone please elaborate? ---> Tooironic 04:32, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

In finance, it means deficit. In commerce, it means a shortage in weight. It also has a general meaning of deficiency. —Stephen 17:56, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
