Is the planet Mercury in deep space?[edit]

@SemperBlotto Your 2006 definition for the noun 'deep space' is still standing, but the two references on the page have a slightly different take that I agree with- that 'deep space' refers to areas far away from stars. By the 2006 wording, Mercury is in deep space; I would never have thought that this would be the case. I would appreciate it if you would review this definition- are there sources saying Mars is deep space? I guess there might be. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 00:28, 5 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
