Madlakasan[edit]

@Mar vin kaiser Wondering for source for madlakasan? Never heard of it. Ysrael214 (talk) 09:20, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Mar vin kaiser Added madlakasan for the time being. The word seems to be added in Wikipedia as well in a 2013 edit: https://tl.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikang_Kastila&oldid=1381642. Looks like a neologism to me that spread through blog sites that made other neologisms like kawingan (web link), pook-sapot (website), sulatroniko (e-mail) that guised them as "Old Filipino Words" and reshared via social media. @Ysrael214: Yup, neologisms are also covered by attestation criteria. If I remember correctly, I saw the term "madlakasan" in the dictionary I consult for Maugnayin terms. I forgot the title of it though, trying to remember. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 14:03, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Ysrael214: Remembered the title. Progresibong bokabularyong pang-agham Ing(g)les-Pilipino = Maunlaring talasalitaang pang-agham Ing(g)les-Pilipino / Jose Reyes Sytangco. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 14:05, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Mar vin kaiser By the way, how do you get access to this? Ysrael214 (talk) 13:35, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Ysrael214: It was in the DLSU Library when I studying there. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 14:04, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Mar vin kaiser Ahh okay, I guess can't be accessed online then. No prob. Ysrael214 (talk) 14:10, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Mar vin kaiser Currently, reading this but democracy is marked as
democracy - demokrasya; angay-angay Sb.
I think it isn't from there. The book is alpahbetical, not ordered by category right? Ysrael214 (talk) 04:26, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, you mean you're currently reading Jose Reyes Sytangco? I'm not really sure. All I remember is I saw it in a book. I only guessed that it's from Jose Reyes Sytangco because I often looked at that book. Let me try checking further. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 04:34, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ysrael214: There is another book that employs Maugnayin. If it's not in Sytangco, it's from there. Looking at my edits back in January 17, 2016, they're all Maugnayin. So it must be the other book. I remember it was a thin book. Published by a Lasallian I think. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 04:37, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
