How is this pronounced? Is the S silent?

It's interesting because I've never heard this term used beyond French/Francophone contexts - false friend is usually used instead. I think, however, any anglophone with no knowledge of French would pronounce the 's'. Jamesjiao → ^{T ◊ C} 02:19, 21 July 2013 (UTC)

According to fr.Wikt, it's /foʊ.zɑ.ˈmiz/ in the US and /fəʊ.zɑː.ˈmiːz/ in the UK. I've no idea where they got their info, though. - -sche (discuss) 02:22, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
