Does anyone in any English speaking country pronounce the K? [knaɪt]. Mglovesfun (talk) 18:07, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Only, I imagine, when reading something like Chaucer aloud! Equinox 18:22, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Could somebody add the Middle English pronunciation? I guess it could be like a /kneɪt/, but I'm not sure. --46.138.247.171 20:54, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Actually in Middle English is was /knɪçt/ and later on /kniːt/. --WikiTiki89 21:00, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Verb meaning details[edit]

Does anyone know if the act of making someone a knight is also conferring nobility ? I added knight as a synonym for the verb ennoble , but don't know 1) how to link from there to the verb form here on knight 2) if it actually does have it as a synonym. (I think it does, but it might be useful to know if I'm wrong) Jawitkien (talk) 13:44, 9 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
