- Yes, but verbs of motion are very complex, and this is not the only verb that means to fly. After selecting the desired verb stem, such as -tʼaʼ, then you have to choose from a large assortment of prefixes, with senses such as "about", "start to", "arrive", and so on, and you have to determine whether you need the transitivizer -ł-. For example, shił ítʼaʼ (I flew, or literally, something arrived flying with me); shił aníłtʼaʼ (I flew, or literally, someone caused something to arrive flying with me).
- So, while it can be used by birds, I don’t think you should try to modify the definition line or anything like that. I don’t think you grasp how complex the verbs of motion really are, and you should not be making such annotations until you know a lot more about them. —Stephen (Talk) 08:08, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
