I'd be surprised if there were any linguistic relationship between the two, but I find it enough of a curiosity to note that the Algonquian word for 'fish' is similar: Abenaki has namas(ak), Unami has namès. - -sche (discuss) 20:53, 27 July 2013‎ (UTC)
