Rfv-sense. Adjective. Isn't this the attributive form of the noun? Mglovesfun (talk) 12:28, 24 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes. I've been treating them as speedy deletes if I can't find predicate use, or comparative or gradable use or a distinct adjective sense, using a presumed native-speaker license which I somehow can't find documented. But this is more proper. I also would like to get rid of the "action of the verb" sense, because it is inherent in the participle-gerund "-ing" form. To facilitate that, I will add 3-4 usage example of different uses of the the verb form. Looking at other dictionaries, there seem to be some true noun senses missing. I don't like the wording "action of the verb" either, but what should be done with the translations? At least in the case of German and Finnish (don't know enough of the others to judge) they are not the most evident translations of the gerund of the word "to park", which would be Parkierung and pysäköiminen. --Hekaheka 03:30, 28 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Once we insert true noun definitions, we will have to send them through checktrans. I wonder how many of the nine senses of park are covered by these translations anyway. We need to lead translators efforts away from terms that are inadequate targets for translation toward those that are. Conversely, we might consider translation activity, especially unrequested anon translation, as an indication of the importance of an entry and review it. Sense deleted, RFV'ing the noun would require another nomination. Mglovesfun (talk) 19:22, 4 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
