[edit]Is it the sum of the parts? Should it be trimmed considerably even if it is not? Beobach972 18:28, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- This is a particular genre of music, like rock, bluegrass, jazz, etc., and is not the sum of its parts. It needs to be cleaned up a bit, but definitely keep. —Stephen 18:43, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- I think a lot of people use 'popular' as a straight antonym for 'classical'. It does not seem to have any very clear meaning. If, for example you were told that someone was 'a great fan of pop music', whould that mean chart, rock, prog-rock, country ... ?
- To RFC it shall go. Beobach972 20:18, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
I've had a go at it. Grove Music Online says it is hard to define. SemperBlotto 22:07, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
