Etymology[edit]

can someone check the etymology? although the proposed compound etymology seems obvious on a construction level, the meaning ("he who listens, hence obeys") leads towards sluh, slyšet, sluch (the words are cognate) rather than slušný, slušet (which might belong to the same family but i am not sure). --Diligent 13:29, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have changed the etymology to "poslouchat" (obey): the etymology "po" + "slušný" seems implausible, and was entered by Drago (talkcontribs), a user known for inaccuracies. --Dan Polansky 12:16, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
