Hello there. Among elderly Americans, I have sometimes encountered a pronunciation more like "res-trunt." Does anyone know if this is documented as a regional or historical variation or something? 2605:3E80:E00:5:0:0:0:446C 20:25, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
I do not know how to make the appropriate entry (with pronunciation guide and all) but this word is also used in German.
