Dyeing
[edit]In dyeing to "sadden" is to make a colour darker through the addition of another agent such as iron. This can be confirmed from the following sources:

- http://www.wordnik.com/words/saddening (3rd example on the right)

IntransitiveUse
[edit]How is "it saddens me" an example of the intransitive use of the verb? Do we not have subject, verb, and direct object?Caeruleancentaur (talk) 16:21, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
