Everything I find about cooking scallops calls it "cooking", except for a number of recipies for "scalloped scallops", which is clearly definition 3 (the casserole). Other than that, all I could find was this. Kiwima (talk) 00:10, 20 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Scallop is pronounce both ways in the US too.
