Etymology
[edit]http://www.cnrtl.fr/etymologie/saisir says Old French seisir is borrowed from Old High German *sazjan, and that the word is attested circa 700 in the form of Medieval Latin sacire, but isn't actually from it (or at least, it doesn't say that it's from it).
