Intransitive[edit]

  1. (transitive) To change, swap.
    His political stance shifted daily.

So this is a transitive definition, but there's an example where it's used intransitively... I feel I ought to leave this to the native speakers (or at least those more familiar with this word), but that seems in need of fixing.
