Would Remington Steele(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remington_Steele) count as a silent partner? he take no active part of the business he's just there so that sexism is no longer an impediment to the fictional detective doing her job.

He was more of a face man. A silent partner is someone who is behind the scenes, who leaves management to the active partner(s). DCDuring TALK 19:43, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
