Can to knock down sb/sth be written so that it would read to knock sb/sth down and yet link to knock down? If anyone corrects the entry like that I promise to learn the way the template is written from it and do the job myself next time. Duncan MacCall 08:08, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Yup, use to [[knock down|knock something/somebody down]]. Note that you shouldn't abbreviate somebody or something in definitions. Conrad.Irwin 08:17, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks a lot. As for sb/sth - I'll try to remember it, but if I forget remind me - and feel free to do so each time more strongly. The last one isn't a derived term - I'm adding another definition which will make clear why (it didn't occur to me the first time round): I suppose in English you don't "hit" or "knock" your heels together, but in connection with other things than heels you would idiomatically use a different verb for "to click" in Czech.
