Pronunciation?[edit]

/ta.baʁ.nak/ is the universally heard pronunciation. There is one single source (on Google Books) for /tɑ.baʁ.nak/, L'Événement du jeudi, nos. 456-460, 1993. Since that newspaper is France-based, it can be dismissed summarily. Urhixidur (talk) 20:50, 3 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

I have heard this pronunciation in Montreal. Perhaps it is not so common. Since you are the first native Québécois to comment on this, I will concede until I find better evidence. --WikiTiki89 20:57, 3 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
You may have heard it once. It is not unusual for pronunciation to be willfully changed in order to achieve a comical effect, for instance. How often did you run into that pronunciation, and from how many locutors? Urhixidur (talk) 02:07, 4 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
You may be right about pronunciations being willfully changed. I can't remember how many times I've heard it clearly, but probably not many. I am not always paying attention to how people pronounce things, especially when I'm struggling to understand what they're saying. --WikiTiki89 02:43, 4 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
