twin tails[edit]
I've seen double bunches of hair (pigtails? ponytails?) described as "twin tails", on anime characters etc. Is that a set phrase, or are we missing a hair sense here? Equinox ◑ 17:07, 25 September 2016 (UTC)

The tail wags (or wagged, etc.) -- in cricket[edit]
This is a phrase in cricket, where the tail ("The lower order of batsmen in the batting order, usually specialist bowlers") performs unusually well. e.g.
- 1985, Dennis Lillee, Over and out (page 58)
- I'll never forget the comment of one Board member when he learned of World Series Cricket's formation. "Well, if its tail wags, we cut off the tail", he said. Brother, did it wag!
