Also "it"?[edit]

Can this also mean "it is eating it"? 71.66.97.228 22:03, 1 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

It means the third person is eating it. You should know that by now. Remember, however, that it is not needed or desirable to give the entire range of meanings of a word in the etymology. Etymologies only mention the essential sense. If someone wants to delve deeper into a word, he has but to click on it in the etymology and see all that is written in the word’s entry. —Stephen (Talk) 07:39, 2 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

There is no need to have an unpleasant attitude, and it is clear that I am asking not just on my own behalf, but on the behalf of all users of this dictionary in the world. If it can also mean "it" (such as for animals), then I shall add it, as if it can refer to "it" that should have already been added. 71.66.97.228 17:28, 2 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
