Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to one of the discussion rooms or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

German[edit]

Thanks for all the country names. -Atelaes λάλει ἐμοί 15:41, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the welcoming. --Holger 15:48, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Templates[edit]

You can save yourself some time and trouble by using the {{infl}} template, like this [1]. It will automatically use the page name and will categorize the entry for you. --EncycloPetey 17:22, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reminding me of that template. I'll use it for now wherever it fits. --Holger 17:28, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

German templates[edit]

FYI, there are also German inflection templates in Category:German inflection templates, such as {{de-noun-m}}. A downside to them is that you have to enter more information than for {{infl}}. But given you are a native German, that should be easy for you.

There is also Wiktionary:About German, but it is rudimentary at this point. --Daniel Polansky 18:31, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
