Comast[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary! I was just looking around for citations for your new entry comast and was having trouble finding any. This is due to a number of unfortunate things, not the least of which is that it is a common typo for "Comcast", but I was wondering if you could provide a citation or two from whereever you found it, as I can't seem to find it in any dictionary I have access to, nor can I find a solid citation for the sense that you have indicated. I did come across a sense which indicated that it was a feature of land (something coastal) and perhaps they are related somehow. The discussion and research will take place here if you would like to tell us about how you came across the term. Again, welcome! - TheDaveRoss 15:56, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the beer parlour or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

By the way, we wikify etymons here. Have a look at how I have reformatted chthonian. Widsith 15:52, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

redirects[edit]

Please remember that spelling is the most important lookup factor in a dictionary. We list words here, not concepts. In general, that means we very rarely use redirects (unlike Wikipedia.) --Connel MacKenzie 23:39, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
