Hi. I don't think I have much aptitude for Wiktionary. I hope no one is irritated by my Wikipedia-style translation articles for the 5 or 6 Japanese and Chinese words I created. Thank you. --McDogm 9 July 2005 02:45 (UTC)

Welcome[edit]

McDogm,

Wiktionary is a bit different from Wikipedia, but your knowledge of it will still serve you well. Please take a minute to look through some of the help below, especially the entry layout format. I can't personally help much with Chinese and Japanese entries, but our sysop Jun-Dai can almost certainly answer your questions for those languages. Of course, I'm happy to help with general questions, if I can. I have included some standard welcome text below, for the help pages. --Dvortygirl 9 July 2005 17:26 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the beer parlour or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!
